Last Stop Singapore. 2014

A 1800 km train journey, a railway connecting three capitals and three states at once, Bangkok (Thailand), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Singapore (city-state); a very rare thing in Asia, whwre wars, dictatorships, military juntas, single parties and nationalisms push states to cultural and econonomic isolation. So these three nations are the region most developed ones, Singapore being one of the whealthiest states of the world.

Along the railway travel millions of people (tourists and commuters) and goods such as rubber produced in Thailand, palm oil and oil produced mostly in Malaysia and consumer electronics from Singapore.

A train trip by which faces and languages come and go every few hundreds km, a long series of landscapes, oil palm plantations, rubber trees, tropical forests, oil plants and big cities with futuristic skylines.
